OSWEGO ECO TAKES ON NEW RECYCLING EFFORT
The ECO Commission (Environmentally Conscious Oswego) has accepted the added responsibility of collecting packing materials on the second Saturday of each month at the same time that Electronics are collected. These collections are schedule from 8 until 11 am at the Public Works Facility, 100 Theodore Drive, Oswego.
Members of the Fox Valley eBay Sellers Club will assist at the ECO collections on the second Saturday of each month as well as serving as a drop-off point year round for people who wish to properly dispose of padded envelopes, bubble wrap, air pillows, foam wrap sheets, and packing peanuts. Contact Sheri Kohout, 630-640-7382, for information on where packing materials may be dropped off at other than the regularly scheduled ECO dates.
Acceptable electronics are TV’s, computer equipment of all kinds, phones, both cell and landline, and printer cartridges.
Everyone is encouraged to help in the important effort of keeping these bulky electronics and packing materials out of the landfills for the sake of us now and those who will follow!
